VETERINARIANS
 Taffi S. Tippit, D.V.M. Dr. Taffi S. Tippit founded Bissonnet/Southampton Veterinary Clinic in 1981. Today she is the owner, administrator, and chief medical/surgical officer of an award-winning practice distinguished for excellence in the field of small animal health. Her goals are to advance patient care, to serve her community by making better the lives of animals and their owners, and to provide a clinic environment where veterinary medicine can be practiced with skill, sensitivity, and optimal outcomes. Because she believes that children benefit from loving and caring for animals, her daughter and son continuously have a variety of wonderful creatures in their lives.
Dr. Tippit graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 1978. Her Bachelor of Science degree, presented with summa cum laude honors, is also from Texas A&M, where she was a member of honor societies and campus organizations.
 Ivy Empel Frank, D.V.M. Associate Veterinarian Dr. Ivy Frank was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She was exposed to veterinary medicine at a very early age as an assistant in her father's veterinary practice. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Georgia. She also received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia.
Dr. Frank has been an associate veterinarian at BSHVC since 2002. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Steven, her girls, Hailey Jane, Madelyn, Lila and Charlee. She is an avid college football fan (especially for the Georgia Bulldogs). She also enjoys horseback riding, hiking, reading, eating chocolate and playing flag football.
Lindsey M. Banigan, D.V.M.
Dr. Lindsey Banigan hails from Bedford, New Hampshire. She has worked with animals her whole life. Dr. Banigan graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and attended Cornell University, College of Veterinary Medicine where she obtained her DVM degree.
In her free time she enjoys cooking, painting, reading, gardening on her apartment balcony, and the occasional picnic. She also spends time hanging out with her critters, Floyd (finch), Bleu (albino hedgehog), and Lucius (cat).
Jordan Gesimondo, D.V.M. Dr. Jordan Gesimondo was born in Madrid, Spain and moved all around the US growing up. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Zoology at Northern Arizona University, and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University. She is currently finishing up her Masters in Public Health from the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Betsie Simmons was born and raised in Harlingen, Texas. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior. She attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, School of Veterinary Medicine where she earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine.
In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband, Ken. She plays mixed doubles in a tennis league with her husband. She also loves cycling, cooking, and cheering on her favorite teams in college football and the NBA.
